MAKE Waves Media

We’ve been generating rightly-deserved fame and recognition for Make Waves, the multi award-winning independent ‘East meets West’ production company based in London and Singapore, which was founded by former BBC Newsnight editor, Sian Kevill, and BAFTA winner, Sarah MacDonald.

MAKE Waves won ‘Best Foreign Documentary’ at the 7th China Academy Awards of Documentary Film 2018 for The Talwars: Behind Closed Doors which was the first-ever factual crime series for HBO Asia and Star India. The series follows the twists and turns involved in India’s biggest murder trial for decades, and included the world exclusive interview with the couple accused of murdering their daughter and manservant.

Its feature documentary, The Great Green Wall, which follows Mali-born pop star, Inna Modja, on her odyssey across Africa's Sahel has now won no fewer than 11 international awards, and we were proud to publicise the film to a global audience in and around the Venice Film Festival, for which we secured coverage in the likes of Variety Magazine and The Sunday Times.

Our team also helped to secure panel opportunities for MAKE's founders, such as at the prestigious Televisual Factual Festival, where Sarah spoke alongside an impressive team of factual film-makers including Dorothy Byrne (Channel 4) and Brian Woods (True Vision).

We look forward to the next project from this fearless team of creatives that really is making waves in the world of Production.
