Bizzarrini

‘Bizzarrini is Reborn'

Our team provided PR support for the legendary Italian motorsport marque, Bizzarrini, which was ‘reborn’ in November 2020. Holding the wheel are several uniquely experienced leaders in the luxury automotive sector, including three former Board Members of Aston Martin.

Bizzarrini is one of the most storied and iconic names in automotive history. The physical legacy of the marque is scarce and fragmentary, save for a few extremely well-known, incalculably valuable cars. As such, news of this revival was covered by global, national and niche media around the globe, including Bloomberg NewsLa RepublicaAutocarJalopnikAutomotive News Europe and Road And Track.

In January 2021, we supported the announcement of Bizzarrini's forthcoming Revival Series – as covered by luxury and automotive publications such as The Robb Report USAWallpaper MagazineSalon PrivéLa Gazzetta dello Sport and NZZ. In April, further details were announced about the making of Bizzarrini's 5300GT Revival Corsa, including the ability to draw upon 1,000 original technical drawings and plans to guide the building of just 24 of these cars, all uniquely built for the user.

Bizzarrini CEO, Christopher Sheppard, quoted in Car Buzz, explains,“Our engineers are peeling back layers of automotive history. For example, the first cars had a single wing mirror, while the bonnet [hood] was originally made from steel, and subsequently replaced by a composite example.” Rezam Al Roumi, board member added, “We are daring to be different just as Giotto Bizzarrini was back in the 1960s... an engineer who rivaled Enzo Ferrari, Ferruccio Lamborghini, and Battista Farina. He believed in building the very best racing machine of the age, using the best available technology and a strong personal vision.”

Our team communicated this eponymous marque’s combination of fine design, craftsmanship and engineering excellence in the automotive world - all of which will ensure this legendary name lives on - for a new generation of enthusiasts and collectors. This was detailed by Bizzarrini's CMO, Janette Green, via a live television interview our team secured on the ‘World Business Report’ programme for BBC World News.

'Top Gear takes The Stig to The Revival'

Having re launched the marque in 2020, we were thrilled to learn that late in 2022, Top Gear sent The Stig to Dunsford for a debut hotlap. Here is the 5300 GT Corsa Revival which had been freshly delivered to its first lucky owner. Hand built in the UK to be as true to the original as possible, albeit with modifications to meet current safety standards, as you can hear, the exhaust sound is not so far removed from the original 5.3-litre V8...

Giotto Bizzarrini - Legendary Engineer

If you share our passion for 'the detail' behind remarkable feats of science, engineering and art, then here’s a little more about Bizzarrini the man... Born in Livorno in 1926, Giotto Bizzarrini was an automobile engineer with a reputation for solving problems. This led him to work for Ferrari (including on the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO), and to produce the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Stradale - the Le Mans class-winning A3/C - and the 1900 GT Europa, amongst others. Giotto worked for makers including Iso, Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo.
